Marketing Your Creativity

Artist? Performer? Producer/Director? Writer? Musician?

The first thing to consider in marketing yourself and your creativity is who is likely to be interested in me or my work, and how do I reach them.

From a technical standpoint, on the internet that means using any and all social networks, tools or technologies that will increase the viral potential of anything you put online. In that regard, marketing creativity isn’t any different than anything else.

What is different is that while you’re trying to get your work in front of others, you’re not trying to put other material like affiliate ads or posts from others that may actually distract from your story in front of others. You’re not aggregating information on others or other subjects for those who find you and/or your work interesting. You are aiming at giving them as much information and access to your work as possible in as clean and non-distracting a way as possible.

…and to include ways for them to mention you site(s) or accounts to others among their circles with similar interests.

The technical tutorials in this section are based around a strategy to accomplish that. Keep in mind that each and every component emphasizes viral potential as well as ease of use.

There’s quite a bit to work through to build a useful and easy to maintain web presence. Then it’s up to you to populate it with content.
