Putting your work online is the most direct way to make it available to those you want to reach. If you don’t do this with your own web domain, there are several other sites you can place your stuff with the added advantage of the community and traffic those sites attract.

You should consider multiple portfolios. You can get benefits from each and their respective communities, but funneling traffic from all of them back to your own blog or web domain raises your profile even more as well as adding to the number of back links to your domain.
